It has been a while now since I made any additions to this blog, so I wanted to give everybody an update. We do have our smallholding farm on the market along with the woodcrafts business. We have been getting a few nibbles but no substantial bites as of yet. Most of the nibbles come from people who say the price is right, but they wish it was closer to here or there, etc. Well, it ain't, so we will just have to wait for that special someone who says, this is perfect, just like we did when we bought it 3 years ago. They are there, we just have to have patience and send out the vibrations and they will feel them and come. We are getting pretty anxious to get to the states and the house we have found, well, we are still hoping to get it as well.
Mike is so excited he won R1000.00 ($129.00) for his copy writing that he does for an SEO here in South Africa. Each month there is a competition amongst the copywriters and we just received the SMS message that Mike is the winner this month. That came as a total shock as we had actually forgotten about it, or did not know if it was still in place. So we are looking at this as a positive sign that things are looking forward for us.
I have been busy working on all the doors in the farm house, making sure they are all stained and varnished and in good working order, just making things look a little nicer for a potential buyer.
Some of the things that we will miss here are going to be the friends we have made, watching the dogs and the donkey (Dimples) run and play along the fence, the shear beauty of this place and a lot more, but NC will be just as exciting and wonderful, for any place you happen to be can be wonderful and beautiful, because it is up to you as an individual to accept the wonderful gifts of nature and see the beauty, love and inspiration in what is before us.
Some of the things we will not miss however will be the horrible corruption, the power failures due to mis-management, the awful phone lines or non existent phone lines due to thief of the copper wiring, the ever vigilant watching over your shoulder to see who is there waiting to do you harm. This country is beautiful and if one can get past the destruction, corruption and the prejudices, then this is a wonderful place to live. I have enjoyed my 6 years in this country and will always be a part of South Africa. I would like to be able to visit it again some day, but now my time here is finished or almost so, and it is time to come back to the safe haven of America.
Well that's it for this time, just keep sending your positive energies out into the universe and I know with all of your help, we will be home in no time. Love, Hugs and Kisses to you all my brothers and sisters of the world.
