All kinds of stuff!

First of all, I am having various contests on my facebook pages and my web page!

First of all, if you go to http://www.facebook.com/pages/Empty-Space/319874748040537 and post a good bed-screaming name, you could win a copy of an e-book! THat one runs till August 15th.

On the same page, you can go and "Like" the page, or go to www.empty-space.us and "like" the facebook button on the page. Whoever gets me to 100 likes, and then whoever recommends the most people, will get a copy of the book, in a format the winners prefer!

On my jewelry page, http://www.facebook.com/OffWorldTribe for every 100 people who like the page, someone will win a custom piece of jewelry from me! Also, the people who recommend the most new likes will get one too--just make sure they comment with name of the person who recommended them!

My first book signing was odd but good. I saw several people I haven't seen for over 6 years, or 10. It was pretty quiet and I ended up sending a few copies to a book store in Topeka, KS. I hope that people up there enjoy it!

I had the Anime Festival of Wichita at the end of June and two people I knew in college came to help me with it. That was a complete success! AND it was air conditioned! I loved the anime fest, so many fun nerdy people, and I was the only one with my kind of jewelry there. Me and the Lolita girl I shared my booth with were so awesome that the people in charge of Encounters ASKED us to come! That is the next festival, in October. I can't wait! At the same time, I have a lot of work to do to get ready for it, and the Steampunk Expo in November, so I have been making new displays and rearranging the way the booth is set up. I've also been experimenting with some new designs.

I'm feeling the crunch.

School starts up again, and I have two other book projects going at the same time as all the work on my festival setup, and I am trying to find one or two more festivals and craft shows to do. Its getting busy, fast, and soon my days will be overloaded with the drama of the highschool. It will be nice to be busy again. I've enjoyed my freedom this summer, but having no set schedule drives me a little crazy. I hope I'll have plenty of time for sewing, I have an "Inara" dress to make also.

Other than all this, I might also be taking on a friend's pet. Their landlady is crazy and threw a fit over them having a dog when there was nothing in the contract about it, so a week after getting him, my friend is having to find temporary shelter for him. Jason and I hope that it will be good for our weimaraner, Blessing. She needs a buddy, even if its temporary.
