I read, just a few minutes ago, that Americans are relunctant to give up the comfort of soft toilet paper over simply good recycled toilet paper. According to this article if each person uses just one roll of recycled toilet paper in place of one roll of Charmin 400,000 (allegedly) Redwoods can be saved. That's Amazing!
One Redwood takes years to grow! One roll of soft, mushy stick your finger right through it Charmin only last, WHAT! A Day!
I, for one, like the savings on the recycled, cheaper brands and it doesn't tear up in mid wipe, but then I was raised with an outhouse, We still had toilet paper but when you don't have the luxury of flushing you learn the value of, at least, wiping. My booty is always so happy just to be wiped clean at the end of each visit, that it doesn't complain much if I don't have a super soft, over chemically processed Virgin Redwood Tree to clean it with. I can still set on my booty and type my blog so we are no worse for wear.
Seriously, though, the process of slash and burn to create even more of what we Americans already have is taking a great toll on our planet. Recycled products are a good resource and recycling is a great practice. By reusing we are giving our planet a little break and a chance to heal.
Trees help keep the balance of our olanet and are greatly responsible for the atmosphere around us, so helping to save them is only good survival sense. i donate ten trees for the Arbor Day Festival each year because I hope that the small part I do will benefit my grandchildren and great-grandchildren on down the line. That time of year is coming.Ten trees for a $15 donation, that is about the price of one DVD. You can't beat that and you can plant them yourself or they will plant them for you! WHOO HOO!
My booty and I want to apologize if I have offended anyone with this blog.
I just wanted to state my opinion on a really serious issue
