Can Witchcraft Give You Everything? *Note - I did get this from another site but felt it would be a good article*![]()
“Witchcraft doesn’t give you things. It helps you obtain them.”
At this point I must explain that this is simply my view and each and every one of us has a right to our own opinion. In my opinion, Witchcraft won’t do the work for you. Rather, it will help you obtain the things you want. For example, I believe that doing a Magickal working to obtain something is like an agreement of sorts between you and the Universe (or God and Goddess) . For example, when you Cast a Spell it is as if you are asking the Universe (or God and Goddess) to meet you in between. If you were to Cast a Spell for a new job after months of searching, you can’t expect to find one just by sitting at home playing Farmville. No, one will not simply show up. However, if you go out there and continue putting in applications, you can expect to find a job shortly.
While the above example may be a bit extreme, I feel it gets the point across: you need to do something if you want Spells to work for you. I must also mention that Witchcraft is far greater than just Spells. In your journey you may learn healing methods, practice divination, learn astral projection, and much more! However, we also must keep in mind that those coming to The Craft (for reasons other than Religious) often see Witchcraft as mostly Spells and Rituals. I am going to be completely honest in saying that when I was around 14 I began interested in The Craft for those reasons also my interests grew from there to other reasons.
So can you truly obtain tons of money and own a large company by practicing Witchcraft? Of course! Those are, in fact, great goals to have! However, remember that Witchcraft is going to only meet you in the middle. While you may win the lottery, it isn’t something to be expected. Instead, perform Rituals and Spells that can help get you to where you need to be to begin reaching your desired goal. Then go out there and take the needed steps.
So what’s the secret to making Witchcraft work for you? Well there really isn’t a secret. As I said above, Spells will only help you out rather than do all the work for you. I recommend keeping a journal of sorts for your Magickal workings. Whether you want to keep it in your Book of Shadows (or something similar) is up to you. Binders, notebooks, and even the computer are great alternatives. Set your goals and then keep track of when you Cast Spells or do Rituals for that goal. Keep track of what you are doing to obtain your goals and where you are at in your progress. I also recommend planning out a road map to your goal. A road map is simply a list of things to do to reach your desired goal. Think of it like small goals along the way to an even greater goal! Not only will you feel accomplished when you complete a smaller goal, but you will also be one step closer to your overall goal!
As I said before, there is much more to Witchcraft than Spells and Rituals. By trying other aspects of The Craft, you may find that there are other ways to enhance your own abilities and your life. For example, pulling a Tarot or Oracle Card daily (or using any other type of divination tool) can help tell you what to expect for that day and how to deal with it. For example, earlier this month my Cards told me directly that I would receive a promotion at work. I laughed, thinking I had read it wrong. Later that day my manager asked to transfer me to another department where I would be promoted. A few days later I pulled an Angel Oracle Card that talked about researching healing and learning how to heal. Forgetting that I did that Reading I went to the bookstore and bought a book. It wasn’t until that night that I realized I had bought a book on healing others and that it went perfectly with my daily advice Reading. By practicing something like this, you can expect the unexpected and know how to deal with issues that may arise. Many of times I have had to remind myself at work while under stressful conditions that my daily advice Reading told me to remain calm and that it will pass!
If you are new to Witchcraft, please come with realistic expectations. While we don’t expect you to be perfect and know everything, we do expect you to understand what you are getting yourself into. If you are here to simply Cast a Spell on your ex and Curse the guy that cut you off in traffic this morning, please continue on. However, if you are here to grow as in individual, a Spirit and Soul, help others as well as yourself, and walk along the beautiful Path less taken, we welcome you in with open arms!
Since Spells is a large part of Witchcraft (whether we call them such or not doesn’t matter) , I’d like to briefly also mention how and why they work. Other than meeting a Spell in the middle, a Spell’s success depends on your Energy, intention, and desire/passion. The Universe (or God and Goddess) get the final say, as well. If it isn’t meant for you in this lifetime or at this time, a Spell may not work. If it isn’t your best interest (or in the best interest of others) , you can expect nothing to come of the Spell. Remember that like attracts like; put out good and you will get good back!
So to answer our big question of what Witchcraft can give you, I have to say it can and can’t give you everything. It can help you attain that which you want, but you need to work toward it. There are no handouts! Practice other aspects of The Craft as you will find that it helps your daily life whether it’s a daily meditation or positive visualization techniques, among others.
So to whom would I recommend Witchcraft to? I would recommend it to anyone that wants to connect deeper to their Self, the Divine, and the Universe. This is regardless of Religion as I feel Witchcraft can be used as a way of life and/or as a part of a Religion. If you seek Witchcraft for purely selfish reasons, I do not recommend it to you as you will most likely end up disappointed. Remember that there is give and take in Witchcraft, too. Karma plays a huge role, in my opinion. So if you want to obtain a favor, it’s always good to give others a helping hand whether they’re a Witch or not.
I can only hope that this article reaches the screens of those that are curious about what Witchcraft can and cannot do. I would advise contacting a teacher or Coven if you have more questions and would like to learn more. Books are wonderful assets, as well! Welcome to Witchcraft!
