Its Been A While...

Hello to everyone who has stopped by my page. I apologize for not replying to comments and well wishes. My mundane life has had a hold of me lately and this is really one of the few times that I have found myself awake enough to sit here and write a blog without falling asleep on my keyboard! I hope everyone is well and has an abundance of peace and love in their life.

Not to turn my page political,. but tonight is one of those moments in history that wakes up the world at large. We, the United States, now have a non-white president. I use the term non white specifically because all through history, our major leaders have been rich white men. I truly believe that is what has kept this country on a continuing downward spiral. I find it interesting that we have been on a continuous downard spiral while our thought patterns have stayed stagnant.

Now we have been promised a change; a change in how we have had things run by our government and I am hoping that this change will help to end our economic hardshps, work on getting our financial deficit under control, if not elminated, and we begin to finally realize that it is not the color of the person in charge that makes a difference but the heart of the man and his hard work and dedication to preserving what America was intended to be; a place of freedom and respect for EVERYONE regardless of their skin color,religious beliefs, or sexual preferences. We are all humans living with each other on a daily basis. It's time to stop singling people out for their differences and embrace these differences. This is the only way that we as humans can continue to evolve and grow, by accepting the person next to us, not fearing him. Ignorance is rooted in fear. Lets lose the fear.

It will be a very long road to recovery, cleaning up the mess that the last administration has created for us will be hard work. We need to all join together to help our new leader bring back what we have lost and regain our self respect as individuals and as Americans.

I love that all of this change has come when the Moon is waxing, we are no longer in Mercury's retrograde, and Samhain has just passed. This is truly a time for new beginnings. A time to let go of the old and make room and accept the new life that is ahead of us. Our new year has begun.
