Hum, seems like I remember hearing this word about this time last year…

It has something to do with eating a giant bird; I think it’s called a turkey, which tastes a lot like, chicken. I wonder if it is really a chicken, one so big they give it its own name – Turkey? This is something for my sisters and I to ponder…

Another thing that puzzles my sisters and me, is why does this thing, or occasion, or whatever it is, happen only once a year? My human “mom” says it is a time to stop and be Thankful for everything we have. OK, sounds like a good idea, but how about being thankful more times, not just once a year? Maybe once a month would be good (actually everyday would work for us) and have this really big chicken called Turkey more often? Sounds like a plan to us!

Now…how do we get the humans to go along with this?

Maybe, if my sisters and I concentrate really hard, we can get them to start thinking they are thankful more and then they will have Turkey more!

I know when I get to eat, especially Turkey, I am thankful.

My human “mom” has been talking about something called Pagan Families Food Drive. Not sure if I understand this right, but it seems that there are humans out there that don’t have food, or enough food, to feed their families. So, I guess what humans do is drive to somewhere, acquire food, then drive to somewhere else to leave the food, so those families can drive to where the food is left to get it to eat. This must be what is a Food Drive – driving food around. Sounds confusing to a cat, but if the humans understand and help each other this way…

So, “mom” is hoping other humans will drive their food to my shop, Widdershin’s, so we can help more people feel thankful for this thing call Thanksgiving. And she says we will do it for something else called Yule (that one sounds familiar too).

My sisters and I will be waiting for you to drive some food over here to the Food Drive. But I don’t understand why “mom” says no Turkeys – I think she is just afraid Willow, Hazel, Rowan and I will eat them. And wouldn’t that make us thankful!

(or if you can't bring it to Widdershin's, one close to you.)
