The End Of An Era

Who here has not been touched by NASA's Space Program? We grew up in an era of exploring the depths of space. We all huddled around our TV sets watching as each space launch brought us closer and closer to making Star Trek a reality, instead of a producer's dream. We shared in the program's grand triumphs and were emotionally shaken by it's defeats. And yet, we knew as a Nation, that as long as we moved forward in our space program we were reaching toward the stars, our final frontier. Who among us would have ever believed that NASA would no longer be funded? That all the dreams and hopes of several generations for the future of space travel would be scrapped in the blink of an eye.

Please join me for this tribute to the final voyage of the space shuttle -- Endeavor. My son captured this moment on film and was even inspired to compose a song for the event.
