I am not here to cater to anyone's fanciable romantic delusions about ancient pagan anything. I feel the need to say this. My gods are bloody and violent. My favorite Aztec goddess has a skeletal head and doesn't take kindly to the male gender. She rules over these "star demons" the Tzitzimime who were said to devour people at solar eclipses.

My main god, Tlaloc, demanded child sacrifice in order to appease himself. My gods love sacrifice whether it be human or animal. They love human blood and see humans as food. Sacrifice perpetrates the cycle of movement in nature. Life feeds on life. Something always dies.

The people that worshiped these gods through out time gave them blood, animals, people including children, and were into war. Especially, change through conflict which was looked at as something that was a nessecity. Cannibalism was not excluded in rituals as taking the flesh over another meant you were taking their power.

If you here anything else about the Mesoamericans, Mayans and Aztecs mostly, that they were benevolent and peace loving you have been given the wrong information. The violence by these people are not limited to the Americas or Central America. It was also found in places like the Mid East, Africa, Asia, and Europe. Do not for a second think that just because it has the title "pagan" it equals friendly and non-violent.

People are generally surprised to learn that most Germanics were bathing- and grooming crazy people with elaborate ideas about what couture is. Besides being brutal bastards who pillaged, raped and plundered, impaled babies and all that.

That being said, I have to be careful to not just resort to flaming the idiots who like their romantic images of sexy, half clad witches burning on the stakes, MILLIONZ of them -.-

Sometimes I think they should be burned at the stake.

There's like a host of terrible authors. That's a topic in itself and I am sad people take it like this.

Perhaps it correlates with your willingness to participate in discussions =/ It is always there, jsut...usually you do not notice it, like I did not, when the weather was good and I was outside exploring the outdoors. Now I am here, doing lots of paperwork, and looking at PS, and suddenly I see it everywhere.
