All Beliefs are Welcome Here!

Well, I been sitting here doing some research on yeast infections on dogs.

It is a pain in the butt.

When I took my three girls to get their surgery the vet said that Zahara had a yeast infection and Luna was starting to develop one. At that time, I asked the vet for medication for the yeast infection since she had diagnosed it.

The response was:

She will have to get a skin test ( $130 per dog ) to diagnose the infection. Mind you. She had diagnosed the infection already. But I guess the $260 is more important then Zahara and Luna. Never mind that I have been bringing my dogs there for about 4 years. No. That is not import at all.

So, I have been doing my research have found out a few important tidbits.

1. I found interesting: Rabies vaccinations. Yes.
It protects your dog, but it also affects their health. Zahara was a beautiful dog with no problems. Then, the rabies shot. Oh my. It wasn't a month that she started with the itching and scratching etc. The rabies vaccination apparently in some dogs kills the flora of the intestine. oh my.

2. Allergic to flea and tick bites. Once the flora of the intestine is affected they scratch and scratch and bite and the saliva causes the yeast infection ( which is brought up from the stomach ).

3. Dog found can be a cause also.

Apple Cider Vinegar
Plain Yogurt

start out with 1 teaspoonful of ACV in water
1 tablespoon of plain yogurt once a day to start with

increase both after 3 days to:

1 tablespoon of ACV in water
2 tablespoon of plain yogurt per day - 1 in the morning, 1 in the afternoon

make a solution of ACV and water in spray bottle
50/50 and spray twice a day. Make sure to get the paws.

bath at least twice a week to start with 1/4 cup of ACV in a quart of water to rinse off with. pat dry. Do Not rinse off the water / vinegar solution.

Please be careful if the dog has open soars. The solution will burn, like putting alcohol on an open wound.

I also spray tea tree oil and spread Skin-So-Soft on their legs and underbelly.

This is the remedy regimen I have started on Zahara and Luna. I will keep you posted.

I do hope this is helpful.
