WE LIVED for honey. We swallowed a spoonful in the morning to wake us up and one at night to put us to sleep. We took it with every meal to calm the mind, give us stamina, and prevent fatal disease. Nothing was safe from honey. IN ONE WEEK my skinny arms and legs began to plump out and the frizz in my hair turned to silken waves. AUGUST said that honey was the ambrosia of the gods and shampoo of the Goddess.

I have been with the Goddess tonight, a baby in her arms. One of her children given the gift of life, to bring back to her what I have learned. One of her children given the chance to grow, to make my own path, to find truth and love. She held me close to her breast, I could hear her hart beat, it was like thunder, full of color and warmth. I cried when she kissed my head and went to set me down, I knew it was time for me to return to my life on Earth. But the last thing I can remember is her words, I LOVE YOU UNCONDIITIONALLY, PASS IT ON.

An ANT went to a river to quench its thirst,
And being carried away by the rush of the stream was on the point of drowning.
A DOVE sitting on a tree overhanging the water plucked a leaf and let it fall into the water close to her. The Ant climbed onto it and floated in safety to the bank. Shortly afterwards a bird-catcher came and stood under the tree, and laid his lime-twigs for the Dove, which sat in its branches. The Ant, perceiving his design, stung him in the foot. In pain the bird-catcher threw down the twigs, and the noise made the Dove take wing.
