Gathering the Goddesses explores the far-reaching wisdom and philosophical musings of internationally acknowledged author, feminist and workshop director, Zsuzsanna Budapest, as she leads women through a three-day workshop in Austin, Texas. Drawing from her innovative talents and history as "genetic witch", Budapest helps women to penetrate the underlying reasons for their contemporary struggles with issues such as body-image despair, eating disorders, sexual harassment, domestic abuse and epidemic low self-esteem.

The film goes far beyond a historical sweep of ancient Goddess cultures. It is a transformative work which allows viewers to strip away the "lying story," and to take a part in rituals, songs, art, humor and storytelling that are the foundation of healing our relationship with each other and the planet.

Comment by zoe bird on September 19, 2009 at 1:18am: This video made me cry ,, I can feel the goddess in me very very drawn to this path ..I live alone divorced and two male children grown , and i like being on my own .. my home is decorated with goddess art all over the place chimes and fountains all around me .. I think the goddess has been pulling me towards this path for a along time now ,, And i just realized it at this very minute. and don,t hardly use the male deities in majik workings unless i feel a strong feeling too ..But i feel the male and feminine attributes in the goddess, does that make sense? well any ways Blessed Be thank you so much for showing this clip
