UFO's

I am curious, on the pagan communities opinion on the subject of UFO's, aliens, possibility of other worlds of life, and the abduction experience. I am an avid Coast to Coast Am listener (a late night radio talk show, on in almost every town, or via their website). These subjects come on there all the time. It has always been an interest of mine, and I wanted to hear some others' input on the matter.

I don't have any personal experiences to tell you about but I do think it would be ignorant of us to think we are the only intelligent life form in the universe.

I'll bite.

Yes. My belief stems from "seeing is believing." I was present at a mass sighting. I don't believe that turned me into a believer, but that I was always a believer and finally saw something that solidified it for me.

I follow and investigate the paranormal, supernatural, and other-worldly when I'm able. I believe that there is other life out there. I haven't reached any conclusions yet, but I have entertained the notion that their may be interdimensional travelers out there. Could really solve that whole problem of light speed, fuel, distance, etc.

my mother saw "something" one night, the next day there was government response in the local paper. Apparently a LOT of people saw it and called the police and paper....creating quiet a stir. So i guess you could say she was part of a mass sighting. We lived across the river from the largest Coast Guard Base on the east coast. Of course the story was something about night time test flying. my mother swore it was other worldly and that the story in the paper was rubbish. i was not at home that evening, so i did not see it. i'm still on the fence about it. Wait, let me rephrase....not on the fence about life elsewhere, but on the fence if they have that type of travel yet.
Perhaps ignorant isn't the appropriate word SisterLittleWitch....i think more it would be arrogant of us to think we are the only intelligent life form.

It funny how this came up... Rose was tell Starr about how I'am very interested in UFO's today.

I love Stargate the show and it make me really wonder. I remember when I was about 10 and me and my brother was sitting on the front pouch and we saw something come across the feild across the road. This was before Mound St came in and I saw the oddest looking plate I quess you could call it going over the feild and stop then poof it was gone. This was on the new about how many people saw this.
Ever since I been interested in UFO's.

C'Rose's mom was telling me about the 3 sauces her father saw come back from Indinana. He was a Rail road eng on the Penn Center and he was come back to Columbus when these 3 saucers comeing across the front the train and stop. It cause her father to put on the breaks.
According to her mom, her dad saw things differently after that. It was in the paper the next day her mom said and they even had reporters coming to the house.

So to answer your question YES!!!

My father was in the mountains hiking in CO, broad daylight, and 7 saucers flew very slowly right over his head. He drew them and I wish I had the drawings!

I am also an avid Coast to Coast listener, and have actually been on the radio speaking to George and Linda about my UFO experience. I've always been a beleiver in life on other planets, but when you actually SEE proof, well it is a very humbling experience, and if you are lucky enough for them to telepathically communicate with you, it's an extraordianary experience!
I saw "my" UFO on Jan 1, at approx 2am, near Flagstaff, AZ.
I drive an 18 wheeler, and I pulled over to stretch my legs and get some fresh air. I looked up to admire the stars, and saw what appeared to be a bright star literally dash across the sky. Spell bound, I stood there watching as it danced across the sky at amazing speeds... I was raised in the Air Force, so I know that this was no airplane. I wanted to call someone, but I had no idea who to call, so I called my mom... she was thrilled to be awakened at such an early hour...I described to her what I was seeing as this thing dashed to the left of the sky, then to the right, then straight up, and straight down... it was awesome!!! I felt as though it was putting on a show just for me!

I've never been abducted...(I'm starting to feel left out)
BUT I do believe there is other life.

I am a long time reader of science fiction and a frequent visitor to the NASA and other science sites. Over the past few years I have gotten involved in writing Star Trek fan fiction (over forty stories) which are out on several web sites. Having done fairly well in a Pocket Books fan fiction writing contest, I now have hopes (delusions?) of one day getting sci fi stories or a novel actually published.

So, yes, I am interested in the UFO debate, but as a heavy skeptic. The abduction experience stories, well, I am HIGHLY skeptical of but try to keep an open mind. I am excited about our efforts to try to make alien contact, but with the lack of success so far, feel that there is less 'intelligent life' out there than the popularized science shows have led us to believe.

I do think there is a strong possibility that "we are not alone", but hope "first contact" would be long distance audio exchanges rather than actual physical contact. I don't think we are ready for that yet. Despite the popular interest in alien contact, I think it would be a shock to our world view and require a profound change in our thinking about science, religion, and culture. Oh, I would like to see a manned expedition to Mars in my lifetime, but I am not sure that will happen.

My ever so Christian-religious dad who wouldn't EVER consider the possibility of magick told me in confidence a lonnnng time ago that one day he saw a brightly lit spherical object come flying straight at the kitchen window, hover and disappear.

Guessing he told me because he knew I was the only one who wouldn't think he'd lost his mind, would understand what he was talking about and would never repeat to anyone that knows him.

The universe is way to vast to not believe that life exists on other worlds, I would presume that there would also be varying levels of evolution from dinosaurs to more advanced civilizations that we could ever imagine. So with that could they travel light years to visit us? I would dare to say yes because there technology is too advanced for us to logically just say no it cant happen.
