A Serious Problem...Any Advice?

There recently arrived at our house a letter, in an envelope that had no return address, and even no address. I live with my parents, and it was "addressed" to my mother, in this manner: "I love you, ------".

The letter inside the envelope is...disturbing, to say the least. Whoever wrote the letter knows a lot about us. Many little details that a casual observer wouldn't know.

IE, this...person...has been watching not only my mother, but this house.

Does anyone know any prayers or spells that can help protect against this sort of thing? My parents want to wait for another letter to call the cops, but I'm afraid that there won't be another letter, but rather that I might see this person. Up close. And very personal.
For rather obvious reasons, I'm not comfortable with this idea.

Permalink Reply by magikalangelmom3 on June 30, 2008 at 6:28pm: i am new to the site as of a couple of days ago and stumbled upon your post. please, please, remind your parents that warnings of danger don't always come before a serious problem and that perhaps this is the universes way of protecting you by giving you a bit of headway before another possible contact that could come in another form. i don't know how open your family is to your path, but every suggestion i've read so far was wonderful and any combo you feel capable and comfortable doing would be advisable. since my knowledge is limited, i'm going to have to do some research on how to accomplish some of them for my own family. back to you and your imminent issue-please contact the police-ask them to think of you and themselves and not of inconveniencing anyone like the police because that is what they are there for. not to be morbid, but they would much rather come to your house to investigate a potential stalker than a gruesome scene i'd rather not discuss but you get the point. not trying to scare you, but the real possibility exists and you have been given an opportunity to protect you and your family. your family is blessed to have you for you have done the right thing in seeking help and i send you love and light and protection. please let us know if there is anything you need.

Since you are alone alot, could you tell your parents that you feel afraid now, like someones watch you, and get them to put in an inexpensive alarm system? They have some now for about 120 bucks. Thats alot, but not alot when you think about it. One thing nice about those alarm systems they tend to come with giant stickers and signs that say that this house is protected by such and such. It could be a bit of a deterrent.

Do you have any friends that could come by at random times, so the person doesn't know when people might be coming and going? They tend to go after people with predictable routines. Invite people over to have pizza and watch a movie.

Make sure you tell any neighbors you trust so they can be on the lookout for strangers around too.

Also, do you still have the letter this was written on? Even with the envelope there are alot of ways to use that to protect yourself without messing it up in case the police need it later. At this point, I would feel threatened and be doing spells to at least bind the person who sent it if not attacking them. You can make a poppet, a traditional one with cloth, or a twig that looks man shaped with a definate penis on it, or this time of year a mushroom, make sure its not red or colored, those are poisonous to touch, probably getting one at a grocery store would be safer. Take the poppet and either use red string or thread or silver wire, they have it cheap at walmart and places, touch a corner of the evelope or letter with your toe or at least have it in your sightline and slowly wind the thread round and round the poppet thinking fiercely of the person who wrote this and say I bind thee from doing harm to me and mine, I bind thee from doing harm to me and mine, I bind thee from doing harm to me and mine in the name of (name three deities or aspects of dieites you believe in), I kind of wish you were pagan, because Hecate is the protector of witches, but if you have Christian beliefs you could call on the trinity, the angels, etc. Now take the poppet and put it in a fireproof bowl and put salt, thorns, broken glass, anything else sharp and pointy in the bowl with it. Light the poppet on fire and say "I give thee to (whoever your deity is, say it three times as it burns,) to keep us from harm. Let it burn all the way down, then very carefully take the ashes and take them to the nearest running water. If you don't have a creek or river nearbye you can go to a public restroom and flush down the ashes, make sure the restroom is far from your house, as it is flushed or you toss the ashes in the running water, Ask Ocean Mother to carry this person far far from you and yours.; ▶ Reply to This

Also, if the neighborhood has a watch program, get them involved. Talk to the neighbors and voice your concerns. If other children are around, they may also have reason to worry. Do not keep this to yourselves! The best defense may be to get others involved.

Permalink Reply by Faol Sith on July 15, 2008 at 6:34pm: My dad is in law enforcement and the minimum I would tell any one who was in your situation would be to at least go talk to someone. Make an appointment with a local police officer, if they recommend a detective to talk to take them up on it. Chances are they are going to tell you they can't do anything yet, make it a point to ask them their advice though if they do tell you that.
Make sure to take the letter with you and put it in a plastic bag and don't touch it anymore. Let them know who in the house hold has touched it. Don't throw the letter away and find a safe place to keep it. At the least it sounds like your mother has a stalker and that in itself can be very disturbing.
If there is a cop who does patrols in your neighborhood make the situation known and see if they would be willing to keep an eye out for anything usual. Make sure if you have a neighborhood watch program that they are aware of the problem. You don't have to tell them the content of the letter just small bits that will help them understand the gravity of the situation. Malik gave some great advice as well so do what you can to follow that as well. Just make sure what you are using is legal in your area.

Protection charms berried in the yard at the four corners aren't a bad idea. Any protection spell isn't a bad idea. It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to purify and smudge the house either.; ▶ Reply to This
