Witch ":Credentials"!!

I was in another group,talking about becoming a witch. The moderator said YOU must be ordained in a coven,taught by a high priestess,etc. of course,I had to disagree with that,because for some of us,it is not how we became witches. she insisted on my "Witch Credentials!" Ok.Any thoughts on this one?

The point in having a discussion is to DISCUSS, not argue about nonsense that honestly makes no sense, at least to my little pea brained mind. The whole idea of this topic was to discuss the manner in which the moderator of this Yahoo group said that YOU must be ordained in a coven, taught by a high priestess. Well there are certain covens in the Pagan world that are like that. More power to them. I do not know, nor do any of us know, what happened in the ensuing discussions that Celtic had with Gaia in this Yahoo group. Yes, Gaia posted what she exactly said, but I tend not wonder if it really was what was said, but that is just me. I know I will probably get nailed to the cross for that statement but this is after all my final thought. lol. Also when the discussion between Celtic and Gaia got heated, I do believe the conversation should have been transferred into either a private IM or emails. Celticlass will hold true to what she believes and Gaia will hold true to what she believes. That is the whole point. Neither one will budge an inch, but please be respectful to the rest of us, who maybe do not want to be involved. I am curious though about "Witch Credentials." I know many of us, me included, have made fun of that term, but seriously what deems anyone to say what they are? Sorry for the long posting. In a bit of a rambling mood. One last thought. There are many individuals out in this world who wish to do harm against Pagans. There really is no need to fight amongst ourselves and saying who is right and who is wrong. There are enough adversaries to do that for us. Blessed be.

For Gaia to have another go-round? but where does it end? we all know that once Gaia has another go-round, that C'lass IS going to want to rebuttle. So where does it end?? Sabrina, you said that C'lass made some last statements/accusations that you feel Gaia should be able to address, as if otherwise, C'lass got the last word. But sheesh, once you delete the whole discussion, there is no last word left up, ya know? Everything gets deleted. And my feeling is that since C'lass is the originator of this discussion, she should be able to delete it if she chooses. That IS an option for anyone who originates a discussion, is it not? I kinda don't think an administrator should be able to bring it back up. That's just how I feel about it. C'lass made the effort to try to end this ridiculousness... it just starts to get painful to watch these constant trainwreck discussions.

I felt moved to defend C'lass, and participated in the discussion just like everyone else, but seems like we all feel it does get old after a while, as you yourself have said on this very thread. It happens. I certainly meant no offense to you personally and I apologize if you took it that way. And yeah, I'm aware of the 'stop following' button which I use often as the notifications get to be too much on some of these.

So in the event that she 'closed' it, rather than deleting it, I agree that it should've been reopened. My misunderstanding.

But I do not think the system or its admin should delete content unless its breaks some "Term of Service" if paganspace does not have a "term of service" the no action should be taken. This conversation may inspire new conversations down the line. Its very hard to know one way or another. I personally would like to see this post stay. But I would like to see paganspace add a disclaimer on it that discussions from other groups be it " myspace,yahoo, msn,etc" not be brought to paganspace unless its a new topic without draggin other garbage along. To many witchwars get started from people that want let a sleeping dog lie. So does paganspace have a " Terms of Service" it might be time for the Admin to consider. since you can not hold someone to the rules if you dont have any.

I think even I replied after it was re-opened...lol I think if Gaia wants to respond give it a bit and then re-close it but personally, I wouldn't delete it because there's no reason to. CL put it up understanding that people would reply, so I say let it all remain, maybe people can even learn something from it.
