Greetings, everyone, I am Rayne. I am new at this sort of thing, so please bear with me. I think that Satanists are considered evil because of what people get from both the media and the Bible. My mother, Anais Two Crows, explained to me that the Sigil of Baphomet is a symbol of man's reclamation of his animal natures. Anton Szandor LaVey, the author of The Satanic Bible, was not a evil man. He tried to encourage people to get back in touch with their animal natures. He did not encouage animal sacrifice, rape, child molestation, or any of the bad stuff that Satanists are blamed for and are often accused of because of media B.S. and supposed "messages from the Almighty". Well, I am a Satanist, and I personally am tired of having to hide what I am because of fear of persecution and of not being able to practice my religion because I would probably be the immediate target of a lynch mob. I say don't be afraid to be who you really are. Embrace it, enjoy it, and love it, and don't give a crap what people say or think. Do as thou will, and harm none, as the Wiccan Rede says.

and I totally agree with you on this. I think there is something to be learned from every religion, it is fundamentalism that I get angry about. I think that it will be a combination of cultural and religious backgrounds that leads to true spiritual peace.

Or it could lead to its destruction. There is a reason why people believe differently and are different.

Hmmm, I can see where your coming from. Especially for cultures who value seperation. ya I can get that... but underneath all the layers, the names, the rituals...the rules... we are each trying to achieve the same goal. Perhaps instead of saying that I think a combination will achieve spiritual peace I should have said true knowledge and understanding.

I come from a world where things just should not be messed with. I tried, in vain, to wrap my little brain around the thought that if we all would understand each other things would be fine. I also tried, in vain, to think that maybe if someone from a different world of thought would agree with me on some level things would be once again alright. In both circumstances I was wrong. I read peoples comments and thoughts in discussions out here on PaganSpace and on other internet sites and I just do not see how any Pagan can agree on anything, when it comes to what they believe in. Sometimes knowledge is a double edged sword. It is a good thing and bad thing. That is the balance of life. I am trying to understand what exactly the goal we are all achieving?

the goal? mayhaps to learn to broaden each of our ideas and lines of thought? I know after spending the week on the mountain camping,I am seeing thibngs a bit different or I shall say more of a return to the basics for me.I was with thousands up there last week from ALL Pagan paths and Christian paths and there was very little disagreeing or bickering, just enjoying mother earth and each other.Mmmmmmmm

I am happy that you found some peace Celtic. :-) It is hard to broaden the thoughts of those who are hell bent on not wanting their thoughts to be broadened. Also I have a theory of not pushing either. Going back to basics is a good thing to do Celtic. :-)

aye,it is. you know i realized that I have wasted energy on topics and ideas that really produce nothing positive for me,so i will be more discerning now. It truely was so amazing ALL the different Pagan paths and all got along so well. It was so nice visiting with folks face to face.It was peaceful and invigorating.
Do you believe that agreement with each other, will help us 'get along' better?

What goal are we reaching here? To be entertained, to exercise our minds; using each other to serve that need.

Otherwise, we would fall dead from boredom.

perhaps I have been wrong, I assumed that no matter what religion a person follows or even just a path of study such as Satanism or Confuscious that we are each trying to achieve a level of higher being, intelligence, understanding, spiritual peace, or even just reconnecting with the divine.

if a person is on that path however they get there, I still feel that we have a similiar bond.

What is Satanism?

Lucipher = Bringer of Light, breaker of codes or secrets.

What is good, is made evil by Christians. In a sense Satanism is Christian baiting. La Vey made a deliberate effort to bait the Pope, for fun.

But properly applied, Satanism is a personal release, and also a Christain bait which they cannot help but to swallow and choke on.

Do not apply Satanisn to the point that you become uncomfortable to women. But exploit it fully to personal advantage any time you are attacked. IMO, the best Satanists never need advertise... It is a skill and trait that is properly applied only when you find yourself under duress.

In those times, the only law is fang and claw... And should need require, you should proudly own the bodies, or broken souls. I do, I have, I hope never to have to in the future... But hey shit happens. And a walk on the dark side keeps me from owning corpses the police can track back with forensic evidence.

Like I said, shit happens... But I never felt a need to advertise in advance... I save it up for a descrete conversion when someone has crossed the line and commited repeated offenses... I tell them flat out who and what they are dealing with and what may happen if they don't back off.

If they ignore that... Nothing can save them... Nothing at all. And there is no threat, it's a consumate promise.

I hope there is a Hell, I want to go there. I want to be in the driver's seat with the whip, and have the souls of those who have offended me here pulling the litter whenever, and where ever I want to go. I won't pay fuel expenses in hell.

Hail Satan
