Any Tips on Formulating Holy Water and First Acts of Power?

Merry meet friends! I'm making my own Holy Water the night of the 18th with the help of the Lord and Lady, be they willing, by the light of the full moon, at witching hour. This is to be my first genuine act of power as of yet. I've been reading and studying for months now as well as building up my supplies and tools. I'm doing this as part of the bigger picture on the road to dedication ceremonies, consecrating future tools and various other endeavors that will ultimately call for the use of this formula. I feel calm, anxious, elated and almost moved to tears to finally be at this step in my path of light. And I know that if there is anyone out there who may have some encouraging or helpful sentiments for me, it will most likely be all of you. Don't hold back! A lot of people here have full moon widgets on their pages. Here is a url for one.

Also, you can determine full moon by looking at the sky and using the time it rises. Full moon rises at sunset. Moon rise is an hour later each night. So, with that information...the moon was up a couple of hours before sundown tonight. Meaning it is a couple more days before full moon.; ▶ Reply to This

You take water. You bless it, charge it. And now you have holy water.

Now, you can go further with bells and whistles. Charging it under the moon for a cycle, or a special night (full moon, etc) can add to the process. Some people even add sea salt.; ▶ Reply to This

we recently started a cycle of travelling to sacred wells dedicated to the Goddess.

(I always had a sacred waterfall that I Personally Dedicated...)

NOT everything has to be "right",it is about enjoying the magick and the intent. If you are working with the Goddess she's know what you are up too. It is never about the right candkes or even the right words but the magick in you!! There is no time limit on magick,some of my best spells are in my hot tub kin the back yard,looking at the moon. When I charge I prefer to cleanse and clear my space (where I'm working, wherever that may be) ahead of the cleansing and charging of any other materials. I know some say to use a specific water, but to me it's the thought that counts, as long as it hydrogen and oxygen in the right format water is water (we could all get technical, but what life with the element of "surprise" right?)...Always do things in the manner that you feel comfortable. But feel free to experiment. If you are just walking down this path - even after having studied this or that, the actual application will really make a difference to you. On paper it may have looked great, but in form it may be - for you - lacking...so toy around with wording and the like, add a gesture here and there...Improvise at will! For from my perspective the best magick is that which comes truly from within...open up to yourself and the inner knowledge...add a touch of spice and voila...! You can even just use plain salt and water and than charge and bless it as well voila! It is whatever feels right to you how to make it.. many blessings; ▶ Reply to This
