Shadow People

Shadow People. They're popping up more and more, and more frequently within the past few years. To sum it up, they're not ghosts, hauntings, or anything... they're just other-realmy beings that come and seem to "observe" us. I've noticed that they only come out at night - but there was ONCE that I swear I saw one during the day - and most of them like to feed off of anxiety and fear. (Please don't get these beings mixed up with astral psychic vampires, though.)

Many people see them as - duh - shadow-like creatures, mainly resembling human form. The two most common forms appear to have a hat, and the other to appear to be cloaked. (See above picture.)

Common experiences with Shadow People just include the feeling of being watched, a sudden pull of anxiety/fear the comes from nowhere upon their arrival, and they usually move away quickly and dissappear when noticed/looked at... most of the time. Sometimes, like with my personal experience, they persist to stand there, watching you, and in rare cases - like mine n.n - they follow you. It is in these cases, that we get the rare occurances of them actually trying to "attack", "attach" themselves to, or stalk you. This was what all that was involved in my experience. While I've had countless encounters with many Shadow People, there were two or three that stalked me and two of my friends, to a point where my friends refused to go outside at night.

In my BAD experience, one found a place infront of my bedroom window, and just stood there for about an hour. With the overwhelming feeling of anxiety that comes from there presence, I wouldn't gather up the courage to go to the window, or even take action to protect myself and put up my blocks. The ones that would find me that were NOT good, also seemed to have a strange ability to make my mind go BLANK when calling up protective chants or quickie-spells to protect myself, and/or shield my room.

It was only after the aid of a fellow Pagan friend that I was able to ground ALL of my astral attacthments and negative energy. I blessed my room, and put seals on my windows and doors. I haven't had NEARLY as much encounters with them... atleast the "bad ones." I still see normal Shadow People during the night atleast 4 times a week.

(Theres a lot more that goes with that story, but I'm not going to waste your time.)

So I'm asking everyone - have you seen these Shadow People? Had experiences with them? Know something about them that you think would benefit everyone? Lets hear it.

Hmmm...I always got the "vibe" that there was INTELLIGENCE there, but maybe not INTENT or an agenda, per se.

is that a shadow person Haunting is less common that a residual Haunting.

if you dont under stand maybe i can try clearifying it again! lol

I thought you meant something more akin to a "vapor" or naturally occuring phantasm. Um...it was either REALLY late or REALLY early when I posted that reply and I MUST admit, sometimes my mind WOBBLES! LOL!
I understand what you're saying now! LOL! Thanks for the clarification. (in my head I don't put Shadow People and Spirits in the same categorie. Don't ask WHY...I couldn't say...I just DON'T! LOL!) Again...that's JUST ME! LOL! But I DO understand that some ghosts or spirits seem to get "caught" in a loop of time and repeat certain actions in perpetuity...or until they're released or realize they've served their sentences...so to speak!
I'm going to hush now, because I seem to be dissembling or disassembling! LOL!

Permalink Reply by Scott The Heathen on July 18, 2008 at 1:29pm: These shadow people are as old as the earth itself, there not new, there not ghost either, the hat man as a nickname has been put on him can be attributed to a wanderer of long ago....seems evil but evil with a purpose...a good evil if that makes since, such as the evil of a Lion killing a lamb to feed,. Both me and my fiancee have had encounters with them.....from what we can gather they have a purpose but not such one that would actaully bring more than a bit of mental harm to any one who see's them its just there nature, kind of like fire, fire itself is not evil yet it cause both good and bad.

I have never had an encounter with a shadow person, but her son sees the "hat man" quite regularly and has even had a conversation with him. I'm trying to funnel as much info as I can to her. So far this "hat man" has not caused any problems besides the obvious fright from his appearance, but I may do a Kyphi and some other protective measures for this poor little kid so he can have some peace. Permalink Reply by Kaleesa- All acts of love and pleasure are my rituals )0( on July 19, 2008 at 12:26pm: I have seen both of these although the hooded figure was shorter and kinda overweight :) but it appeared to me when I was a child, I felt someone standing over me and when i opened my eyes i saw him or "it" I shut my eyes real quick, rubbed them and opened my eyes again and he was not there. I walked into the living room and my parents were sitting there looking normal so i went back to bed feeling spooked. I have very vivid recall about it.

The other one with the Hat first appeared to me while my friends and I were doing some high magick and a faint green myst came out of the sigil and my eyes could barely see it and i watched the myst go across the room and disappear. Thats when the Hat guy appeared but he didnt just appear, it was like he came into focus sitting on the couch. the longer i looked at him the more in focus he became. I felt like he was there to watch. I felt like he came from a different place or time and we must have opened up something in the veil with the sigil.

Since then, I see him from time to time but mostly i see these 2 1/2 foot dark guys that run across the room and hide behind things as if they can blend in.

Hi Splash! I see these in my house sometimes, too. Just two nights ago I heard a rustling sound in my room, so I rolled over to see what it was. Out of the corner of my eye I caught one of those little ones peeking over the side of the bed, then ducking quickly when I turned to look. I wasn't scared, though (I would have been a few years ago, but I'm more at peace with the Unseen Ones now), so I mentally asked him what he was doing there. I received the mental impression that he was "watching" and "helping", so I said, "Ok, I'm cool with that," and rolled back over. There's more to the story that I won't go into here because it involves my boyfriend, but I just thought I'd throw that in to the discussion. :-); ▶ Reply to This

I'm not sure what it could be though. I only see them in the house and they are usually running across the room to hide or peeking around things at me.; ▶ Reply to This
