Recently, I've been vending at a local flea market. I'm completely disgusted with the amount of litter in the parking lot. I'm told they have to have a street sweeper come in every Monday, because of the amount of trash people leave over the weekend. How frickin' hard is it to put your trash in the trash cans (which are every 6 feet by the way)???? I'm there all day, I place my trash in a bag and then put it in the trash can at the end of the day. Are people content to live in filth? Bottom line is, they just don't care. It's epidemic, nationwide. I grew up in Boston, that place is dirty and smelly. Youth groups would try to clean up the city, they would just give up over the frustration of running around in circles. Dirty and nasty. And I truly don't understand this. How people can live that way. These generations are getting worse, the mentalty of people now, just don't care. Why do people buy plastic in the first place? I try and make a point of not buying plastic if I can, such as plastic bags and stuff. If there's a biodegradable option, I take it, and if there's only a plastic option, I try to figure a way round it. Sometimes, though, you just can't, but it *DOES* help to be very aware of it.; ▶ Reply to This
