Fluffy Bunnies UNITE!!!!

Come on, be bold and brave and everything they accuse fluffy bunnies of NOT being. Is anyone else just a tad tired of the name calling and spiritual snobbery that goes with it? Anyone else who had hoped to leave all that behind when they found their current path? Well, I did.

And here and now, on PaganSpace, as bold and un-fluffy as I can possibly do it, I proudly proclaim my RIGHT to believe what I wish, practice what I wish, read what I wish and be my own damn self like I wish, without apology or shame, be it fluffy in someone elses book or not! This is me, like or not and I refuse to let the name callers get to me.

I AM A FLUFFY BUNNY BECAUSE:
1. I am an adamant pacifist. If G.W. Bush and John McCain believe so much in this war, let them send their own kids over there to die. Leave mine alone!

2. I OFTEN sign my posts, "Love and Light", sometimes even "Much Love and Light" and occasionally "Brightest Blessings". I do this because I fluffily wish everyone Much love and light and brightest blessings. So shoot me! (Bunny hunt, anyone?)

3. I don't dwell in darkness and feel that to do so adds MORE darkness to the world. I really prefer to add light. White light, blue light, whatever. I hate slasher and horror movies because I feel that if I purposely add fear to myself, I add fear to the Universal Conciousness and I don't like that. I think there is already more than enough fear and darkness in the world and do not wish to add to it.

4, On the occasion I have had to banish or do some other thing ritual/spell to protect myself, I do so while wishing the offender enlightenment and peace.

5. I talk to animals and will go out of my way to avoid hurting them. I catch spiders in the house and free them outside. I don't hunt, don't own a gun and feel that people who just enjoy killing things are scarey!

6. I glean wisdom from any and everywhere I find it. I "make it up as I go along" and have no qualms about doing so.

7. I cry with people who cry, I hurt for them and do my best to ease pain and suffering. (Could be why I'm a nurse.)

8. I don't name or claim one tradition for myself. I am not a pagan, a witch or whatever else you may call it. My path ever grows and evolves and I do not wish to get "stuck" anywhere because I have clung to one particular "religion".

9. Speaking of religions, I really don't care if you consider witchcraft a religion or not and can't imagine a sillier argument. I don't care if it is or not.

10. I truly feel everyone has a right to find their own path and if so called "fluffiness" is part of that, why should I care? And, now that I brought it up, I don't feel I have the right and I certainly don't have the need, to judge anyone elses path. And I really don't get why anyone does? Isn't it enough to say, "Cool, but it's not for me."?

11. I believe in the Universal Conciousness and that we really are all one. If I attack you, I am attacking myself, and frankly, that would just be a silly thing to do. I believe we are ALL god, in that sense and if more of the Universal Conciousness meditated on peace and acted peacefully, we would have a more peaceful world.

12. I am a tree hugger, hippy whatever you want to call it. I believe in preserving our Earth and doing whatever we can to take care of it.

13. I apologise when I fuck up and take credit for my own mistakes and DON'T try to blame everyone else for it. I will take myself out of a conversation if it's turning me mean.

14. I truly connect to nature and find my best place to seek spirit is in the woods.

15. I like glittery pics and even some frou-frou. I have fairy dust necklaces and even a big crystal fairy necklace I love to wear.

16. I carry crystals with me everywhere I go to transmute negative energy. I give them away to people I have counseled and help. Then I get another one!

17. I talk to my deities, Kwan Yin is my Goddess and I try really hard, (sometimes fail, I admit) to practice random acts of kindness and give back whenever and where ever I can. I give money to the guys on the street that stand there with signs that say "Will work for food", or whatever.

Gads, I am so damn fluffy AND PROUD OF IT! I hope some of you will be brave and proud enough to join me and STAND in favor of RELIGIOUS FREEDOM for everyone, regardless of how many books you have read, what your "religious heritage" is and how many "ancient scholars" in your particular brand of theology you can quote. Come on now, WHO IS with me?? If no one, I will stand alone. A lone fluffy bunny amoungst the religious wolves! WoooHoooo!

I made the choice to compromise with my children and not move until they are finished with high school...but I can travel and the the hell out of here on occasion so I keep my sanity!
