Greensboro Summer Solstice and Goddess Market

Hi Everyone!

The Solstice and Goddess Market in Greensboro NC put on by the wonderful ladies of thegoddesseffect.com went off this weekend. Just thought I would let other business's know about the event for future planning.

The Goddess Market was held in the same park as the Solstice celebration this year, formerly it had been separate. This was a very good move on the planners part....many many many more people attending. Setup was a bit of a cluster (as always) but not that bad....heard more vendors complaining about other vendors in their way than anything else. I expect that next year will be much smoother now that the event planners see how everything will fall into place.

Setup started at 2 and the Market opened at 4. There were customers showing up right at 4.....the event had been promoted like crazy....tons of press and it seemed like everybody local new about it. From 4 to 6:30 we were busy, constant stream of customers at the tent. Then the storm came.........

It was still pouring at 7:30 when we packed up and left.....market was scheduled till 8.

While it is total speculation I am very confident in saying that if it wasn't for the storm we would have broken our single day sales records easily. As it was we were pretty close :)_ And this is only a 4 hour event!!!

So I guess what I am saying is that if you are in the area you should definitely think about doing the Goddess Market next year.....I know I will be!
