Things get better !

Well i have found some mason jar tops (for canning) so this weekend i'll be doing pickled onions, as one of the local store is selling small onions and i still have pickling spice and white vinager. On the plant front i have 2 patio blueberry bushes on order , as my daughter so wants to grow her own blueberries , chuckles the left over berries go into being made into jam! Well my replacement Hunter Safety and Bow Hunter course certificates arrived today!

Well my replacement Hunter Safety and Bow Hunter course certificates arrived today, NY state really does love its Hunters! :) ( of course considering how much hunters spend and the tax revenue generated lol ).One of my next things to do is to get registerd so i can buy my Sportsman's Ticket online, to do that i have to buy my tags from a DECALS registered Dealerfirst, the nearist being in Troy! and then to get some Bow and Rifle practice. Woohoo!!!!!

Well i have just got off the phone from talking to NY DEC, I will have my replacement Hunter Safety and Bow Hunter Certificates by the weekend. This Witch will be hunting and fishing this year. I am also going to reactivate my Assistant Instructor Status and work on being able to teach hunter safety and give something back !

Thoughts for a New Year!

Well with New Years Eve on us in a few hours my thoughts turn to next year and what i would like and need to do .... One thing i know i need to do is get myself a Community Garden (US) or Allotment(UK), and get myself as self-sufficent as i can and continue being a localvore, spend time shooting archery(in the basement!(yes teaching your child how to shoot archery is great it gives them disapline !))and rifle so come hunting season i can go and put meat in the freezer and continue mak…

And todays lesson is... Subtraction by regrouping

Spent this Morning going though Subtraction by regrouping with my daughter using her copy of Comprehensive Curriculum of Basic Skills Grade 3 and yes daddy got lost with these new fangled teaching methods lol and ended up using his calculator. Later today i have to teach her to use Word as her teacher thinks this will help her pass languauge arts.As she seems to have problems with creating sentances , my question is why the fancy title for the teaching of English ?

News

Well some good news ... I'm up for a job locally (IT), Im also applying else where and i shoud be getting a car in the next couple of weeks, either a Dodge Spider or a Taurus. The 3rd car i have owned in my life. My first 2 cars were in the UK,personally i would prefer pony and cart ! but thats just me,chuckles. Not that i plan to drive it much if i get the local job, (anywhere withing 5 miles is a bicycle trip if just going to work lol )…

I was asked by a city witch why i sometimes laughed at them, when all they do is whine about the cost of gas and people who damage the enviroment........ so i replied Do you grow anything in your garden? apart from a lawn or decking? do you grow cooking herbs in a planter in your kitchen?
