It's 64 degrees here at 5 in the morning, but by afternoon it will be only mid-fifties with rain, and looks like next week will only see 50's and 60's as highs. Summer is definitely over, suddenly like it was cut off wih a knife. I listen to the barely-heard voices from beyond the veil grow clearer and clearer with each passing day as the Wheel turns, and I smile with anticipation as Bella and I put up our Autumn decorations to greet the season.
And you! my dear Dragon, fear not that you will be "plumper" come Spring! That is Nature filling us out to ride the bitter tides of Winter (you can always walk faster come Spring to work it off lol). Meanwhile, continue to paint, and teach, and learn. You are a rare soul who gives and receives in equal measure, and soon what you receive will be an overflowing bounty you never anticipated, Biodh se Amhlaidh.

Well, the beard is much shorter and the hair is much longer now lol. An old friend of mine, when he saw the photo, said - and I quote - "you look like a 2000-year-old redwood!" That and some not-so-subtle hints from Bella made, um, alterations necessary. So perhaps I look less like Merlin now and more like...I don't know *chuckle*
Yes, the deer will eat anything you can grow short of cactus (and I'm not even sure about that!). Bless them, they take it whenever they can get it - I saw a doe and two fawns last summer completely stripping a dwarf apple tree in a neighbor's yard. But if you ever saw what they have to endure in winter here, you'd understand.
Here's hoping I'll be a lot more available here - and Good Mabon, by the way :)
