I like to believe it's our collective group *in a way!

Can't really help with the mythology; never really liked Norse mythology, but when the gods come knockin', probably bad idea to tell them no...

If 't'were me researching the creatures I'd start by reading up on the general mythology. There's all kinds of goodies from each of the different worlds (elves and dwarves, giants...) house spirits, forest spirits, trolls, kobalds (also kobold). I think it's a good idea to decide from what *time period you want to research. A lot of the beings seem to decline in size, shape, and irritability as Christianity sank its teeth into North-western Europe. They also differ by region (Slavic, Norse, Icelandic, Swedish?)

Best of luck and please share what you find!

Hey there young Heathen type (LOL). This isn't my group, but I am a member and I'm very happy to make your acquaintance, and I'm also glad to meet yet another person whose is willing to be actuve in this group.

Hi all, looking for fellowship in the [seemingly completely underground] norse-tradition/heathen/whatever you want to call it community. I saw that you're about the only group with any activity in the last year so thought I'd try my luck!

Here goes...

Thank you Helsohn, I really appreciate that.

Hello Huntress,
I go by Helsohn. I was raised as a Heathen (Asatru). My family brought over when they came from Germany In the early 1900s. They had kept it underground for generations and many of the names and stories were lost in that time. So as an adult I managed to put it all back together, and it came together so quickly and easily it's almost like the Gods themselves were bringing home.
I'm no flake and I'm not trying to say that I believe that I'm sort of Heathen version of a prophet, just with my up-bringing it was easier. So if you need help, I'd be more than happy to help.
