Blessed Imbolc!!

As I feel the breath of the Winter's sting,

I sense a hint of the taste of Spring.

Is it the color of the morning sky?

Or that the evening skies are light?

The scent of snow, now carries the seed.

Of tomorrows flowers unearthed with speed.

The wheel turns on and new life begins.

With just a glimmer of hope carried by the winds.

As I feel the magic of the snows' crystal power.

I see the bud of a new born flower.

I hear the cry of the… Continue

Writing to Activate the Reader's Imagination

Writing to Activate the Readers Imagination

Theresa Chaze

Although novels are written in two dimensional black and white, the story actually happens in the four dimensional realms of the reader‘s mind. Multi-sensory books are the ones that become the most successful. Capturing your reader's imagination, by helping them to be able to see, hear, smell and feel every aspect of your story draws them and helps them experience the story through the characters.

What's your birthday tree?

Find your birthday and then find your tree. This is cool

and pretty accurate. Then send it to your friends, including the one

that sent it to you, so they can find out what tree you fell from, but

do not forget to change the subject line to your tree. Find your tree

below and see what you are like...

Dec 23 to Jan 01

Apple Tree

Jan 01 to Jan 11

Fir Tree

Jan 12 to Jan 24

Elm Tree

Jan 25 to Feb 03

Prayer in school

I usually avoid politics and religion in the workplace, a school. But I plunged right in earlier this week. Each day begins with the Lord's Prayer in Nisga'a (the cultural language here) or a singing of the national anthem. My issue isn't with the anthem, but the prayer. This is a very Anglican area, I can understand that, but some of the staff isn't Christian; Wiccan, Pagan, Baha'i, Athethist and they shouldn't have Christianity shoved down our collective throats. Also, the prayer seems to… Continue

How do you want to be remembered?

That is the sort of question we associate with what goes on our headstone. But that's not my focus here. How do you want to be remember by those who come in contact with you on a day to day basis. My goal is that every person I come in contact with is better off for having been around me. It may just be a smile shared, a door opened or a thank you. The tree fold law really works in this. Give it a try. When someone asks, "How are you?" I have a standard reply; "I'm fantastice…

Just returning from Bellydance class, and I am in so much pain. Finding out that we are to do a recital sometime within the next few months and I am not sure if the body is up to it. Oh, well, I asked to learn rountines, so here we go. To have the flexibilty I had when I was in my 20's would be nice. Sure is making me get back on the diet as well. *S* So, I guess I am warming up more and dance to the music while doing housework, till I get this down. Zil work, veil work, and counting beats.… Continue

Happy to be here

I'm very happy to see that there is a place where I can be part of a Pagan community thats a little more involved than just a forum. I have a lot pf experience with Paganism, and am excited to meet some new people on here, hopefully some I'll eventually become freinds with.

In May, I will be attending the Florida Pagan Gathering in Ocala, FL (with or without some freinds) for the Beltaine celebration. Well, I'm off to explore the site for now. Have class tomorrow but also managed to…

Wind, Blow Away My Woes

Let the wind blow away my woes
And allow me, for one brief moment
To remember what it is like
To be carefree
Like the wild child I was
In my youth
Running Fast
Floating away

working with Ritual oils

What Are Magical Oils and How Do I use Them?

How to Use Magical Oils

This is another common question I receive at the

MISTIC. This article briefly puts ritual oil use into

a historical context, outlines the types of oils

available in the marketplace and describes common

methods of using magical oils.

Magical Oils have been used for spiritual undertakings

since ancient times:

Walking The Red Road – January 30

I was born in Nature’s wide domain.!

The trees were all that sheltered my infant limbs, the blue heavens all

Dragons are warriors for light (lightworkers)

. We are a collective

of souls who service light. We can infuse our souls into bodies that

are not dragon (human for example). In this way we can work for

light and efficiently bring about changes. We work in teams, and

often share our vessels (bodies) with other members of the kin. The

earth's conscious is evolving, it has a race of people that need to

make the deadline, and there are many of us… Continue

Hey Witches and Pagans!

How's everybody doing? My name is Raven-Feather Phoenix. I'm a Witch on the path for about four years, now. Just goin' on and doin' my thang, you know?

Like Serenity, I'm a city Witch. No'ing wrong with my rural Pagan brothers and sisters, but this boy loves his Internet, DVR and warm apartment, you know what I'm saying? Being a former New Yorker, this little berg in Michigan I now call home is about as urbane as I care to get. Michigan's "city by the bay" is relatively quiet and…

My Desert Photo Shoot

I thought besides sharing information about bath and body as I expand my blog and focus I would also give you updates on some of the shoots I have gone out on.

My recent trip was right after the new year, out to the desert. Living in Lancaster I am right on the edge between full blown Suburia and the open desert. It is so great having the ability to…

Priestess Writes Fantasy Novels Containing Authentic Rituals

Priestess Writes Fantasy Novels Containing Authentic Rituals

Inspired by William Nolan's humor, Marion Zimmer Bradley's strong magical flare and Anne McCaffrey's strong women, Theresa Chaze has created her own genre. With equal measures of suspense, romance and horror, she creates situations and characters who are forced to face challenges from within and from without. There are no entirely good or bad character, just people who have a karmic maze to traverse as they seek…

Journeys and Meandering 1: Ceremonial Magic and me.

I love interacting with different perspectives. It gives me insight not just into their lives, but sometimes it enlightens me about the influences on my own life that I have been unaware of.

Take the discussion about the color of magic here, that SIN started.

I've had that talk a half-dozen times with various groups of Pagans, Christians and others, and never did it click with me just how influential my research into the Hermetic paths have been in how I see the magic.… Continue

Teach, our children well...

When our youth taste the truth, when they feel compassion, when they know the joy that comes through serving, when they feel the passion of what it is like to live a vision greater than oneself, they will not settle for a
complacent, conforming, materialistic, opportunistic, stress-filled,
self-centered life.
