Everyone does know that Barack Hussein Obama (Jr.) owes his political life to Jeri Ryan (Gene Roddenberry's-- Star Trek-- Voyager's-- Seven-of-Nine--), right?
Back in 2004, Obama was a very small-time State Senator from Illinois running for one of Illinois' U.S. Senate seats. His GOP opponent was Jack Ryan, a super-wealthy businessman who was actually the favorite to win that election.
Well, Jack had gone through a very sticky and messy divorce from, you guested it, Jeri… Continue

I saw an expose on Bisphenol-A and follwed up with an internet research. This hormone is used to coat cans and plastic bottles. It leaches into food and when heated in a microwave leaches even faster. Acidic foods like Soda and tomatoes have the same effect. Check out what I found in the links below. Prostate Cancer and low sperm count for men, breast cancer and other problems for women in addition to premature puberty, obesity and so...yet our wonderful government won't stop its… Continue

At last I have my internet set up and nearly working right. I wish that I had done this years ago. My bf is at times afraid of progress. It took me forever to get him to accept a cell phone, and now the DSL. It isn't so much the technology it is the money. Yes, he is an incredible cheap man.
I have been looking at horses lately. I would love to have one but I haven't anyplace to keep one. I wish that I just knew some one who had horses that could just teach me to ride and how to care for a… Continue

Meditation with Native American Elders
"So don't be afraid. What we left behind, leave it back there. Try to do some good. Let's try to
take a step, try to think something good."
--Wallace Black Elk, LAKOTA
Every day is a new day. Sometimes we make mistakes. We do not need to carry these mistakes along
with us. Take the lessons and leave the mistakes behind. Look forward to today. Today we can do
something good. Today we can have good thoughts. Today we can… Continue

Well, Kung Fu sucked tonite. I don't know why i'm bothering since work is killing me and its hard to do Kung Fu on top of it. I missed a few weeks since I really didn't have the money for it(saving for a car or some motor vehicle). So that pass by, I came back yesterday and all I get is rehashed shit. Its just de-evolution it seems. I'm gonna give it one more chance after I heal up(my back is aching, my right side hurts like I tore something and my hands are chapped to a point they're bleeding… Continue

I just found out today that there is a very good chance that I have Fibromyalgia ( really want to know how to shorten that word it is way to long to write every time). I am writting this for 2 reasons.. I would like to know if anybody knows of any good herbs or polstices that work to keep the aches down. The second reason is because I would love to hear from people here that are working with this ailment who might be able to give me pointers on how to keep working and not loose hope. I was ending up looking like a bleach blond who'd been swimming a bit too much, so I went back in with purple and pink dye and my hair's drying as we speak.
:) This is it though; I'm going back to my natural color after this one fades.
I might occasionally do a tint but not a full blown dye for a while.
There has been so much going on here! We rearranged the house, I've been sick, the husband's been sick, we've got a feral kitten tamed enough to run to where we feed it when… Continue

Have any of you been to this? I am registered and attending for the first time this year and I'm wondering what to expect exactly. I'm hardly someone who's lived in a sexual shoebox my whole life, but I suspect I'll be witnessing and experiencing new things on this weekend. I'm not really sure what a "play party" is, but they have them nightly. I'm very curious and while I realize it's probably like any other pagan fest and difficult to describe and " you have to experience it", much like our… Continue
